While our anthropological research in 2023 was focused on grassroots initiatives and eco villages in the countryside of Southern Europe, since 2024 our ongoing artistic research expands to neighborhoods and collectives in the city, exploring further the potential of collective care for sustainability and environmental regeneration in the urban context, where rapid gentrification calls for interspecies solidarity.
With manifestations in Barcelona and its surroundings in the framework of Imagining Futures, Manifesta 2024, as well as in the neighborhoods of Madrid: in Lavapiés at La Casa Encendida and the urban community garden project Esta es una plaza; in Almendrales at the Institute for Postnatural Studies, exploring each time more sustainable futures through ecopedagogies, permacultural approaches and eco-queer ontologies.
