‘How long is now? – is it the dead perpetuation of an empty, “absolute present”, an eternal waiting for a change to come? Or is it the lively celebration of the present moment – now – which would be able to outdate the determinism of both past and future? But in what sense would such a lively present be related to the flux of time? And how would it be related to eternity? This essay aims to provide some answers to these questions crossing disciplines and cultures.’
